SBK Portogallo, venerdì nero per le Ducati con il primo e terzo posto.


Alvaro Bautista, leader of the championship and reigning world champion, was the fastest rider in the Friday practice sessions at the Portimao round of the Superbike World Championship. In the second practice session, Bautista improved his time by more than 7 tenths of a second from the morning session. He finished the day with a lead of almost 3 tenths of a second over Garrett Gerloff. Gerloff, who was the fastest in the first practice session on an independent BMW, was unable to improve his time in the afternoon. The three races ahead could be decisive for the championship title. Bautista currently has a 47-point lead over Toprak Razgatlioglu with only six races remaining. Razgatlioglu struggled in the practice sessions, finishing the day in ninth place with over 7 tenths of a second behind. Notable performances included Michael Ruben Rinaldi in second place and Jonathan Rea in fourth place.
